This cosy cart lodge provides a peaceful base for a couple to explore the beautiful scenery of the Suffolk coast. Based in Iken, you can walk from the property to Snape Maltings along the River Alde estuary, perfect for those who want to see the wildlife in the area and enjoy the walking and picturesque views.

The Cartlodge sits within the peaceful grounds of a house on the outskirts of the small village of Iken which is a very quiet area as there is very little beyond the village except pastureland and marshes. The Cartlodge is surrounded by pasture and the river Alde is a short walk away with stunning views over the reed beds towards Snape Maltings. It provides a comfortable retreat from which to explore the beautiful surroundings and you can return to somewhere where you can relax and enjoy the peace and quiet after a day out. Besides the open plan living space there is a shower room with WC and wash basin and a separate bedroom with views over the surrounding countryside. The apartment is simply furnished but provides enough comfort for both short breaks or longer stays if you want to experience more of this beautiful part of Suffolk.
