Surrounded by the majestic Cambrian mountains, The Swan Country house is a beautifully converted farmhouse, and just a stones throw away from the vast Elan Valley Estate, offering excellent walking and cycling routes around the reservoirs, rivers, Victorian dams, woodlands and much, much more.
Superb accommodation, furnished with flair and originality, a warm welcome awaits you at The Swan Country House. Enjoy panoramic views of the mountains from the conservatory, where a dining and sitting area allow you to make the most of the stunning scenery. When night falls, retire to the fabulous James Bond themed snug/TV room where you can enter the world of 007 and enjoy the cosy wood burning stove and Smart television with access to Freeview and Netflix.
Just a short drive away is the bustling town of Rhayader, offering a variety of gastro pubs, food and craft shops. The area provides an abundance of year-round activities for all ages. Slightly further afield is the ancient coastal town of Aberystwyth, an hour’s drive away. Along the journey you will discover some of the most breath-taking scenery in Wales.
For larger groups, The Swan Country House can be booked all year round with use of one further bedroom accommodating up to eight guests.

Please note that on the drive outside the property is a large pond which is approx. five metres across and a depth of one metre. Children must be supervised at all times outside.

Two well-behaved dog welcome, a doggie welcome hamper is provided! The owners live in the adjoining property onsite and have their own dog. Please be mindful that there are sheep and livestock in surrounding fields.
Barbecue provided. Please leave the barbecue in the condition you would wish to find it. Thank you in advance.
Available services on site include livery and horse paddock which can be arranged directly with the owners.
The owners also offer a concierge service and a Christmas package where the house will be fully decorated for Christmas. All additional services must be arranged and paid for directly through the owners.
