Thatched and built of local brick and flint, Coombe Cottage is a stylish Grade II listed cottage built in Tudor times and retaining an inglenook fireplace with original bread oven and exposed beams. Ideally located, facing onto the village green with views of the hills, the property boasts a delightful rear garden with garden furniture for al-fresco dining.
The attractive accommodation includes an open-plan kitchen with dining area and double doors out to the patio area and pretty garden. There is a bright sitting room with an open fire, comfortable sofas, a television and window seats. The ground floor of the cottage also has a useful utility and laundry room along with a cloakroom/WC. On the first floor are two well-appointed bedrooms, a double bedroom facing the village green; and a super-king size zip and link bedroom which can be configured as twin single beds on request.
Sydling St Nicholas is rated one of the prettiest small villages in Dorset with thatched cottages, chalk streams and a children's play area tucked away off the High Street. There is also an award-winning pub, The Greyhound, just a pleasant two minute stroll away.
Within easy reach of numerous quaint villages and local attractions, Coombe Cottage is ideally situated for exploring the wonderful Dorset Downs and beyond, with neighbouring Cerne Abbas just 2.5 miles away and the county town of Dorchester just 8 miles away.
