The elevated aspect of this chic Lakeland cottage provides breathtaking views of the Lake District mountains from almost every room. Sitting in a peaceful conservation area, just a minute's stroll from Ambleside village centre, Luke's Hoose offers a perfect combination of traditional charm and contemporary indulgence. It's a perfect living space for two couples, or a family, to wind down and relax at any time of year. Have fun together, dine together, sit out on the patio and drink in the views or head off to see the many delights of Ambleside village and the shores of Lake Windermere. SLDC car park permit for local car parks. A short climb leads to this small terrace of stylish cottages. The entrance hall leads to the open plan kitchen / dining area, with a large bay window and there’s a wall-mounted TV - a great place to socialise. Upstairs to the first floor living room with beautiful bay window views and cosy open fire. On this level is a single bedroom and separate shower room. Upstairs to the second floor and a double bedroom, a king size bedroom with magnificent views and en suite bathroom with a shower over the bath.
Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.

Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
