Accommodation Details

All ground floor. Two bedrooms: 1 x king, 1 x twin. Shower room with shower cubicle, wash hand basin, wc.. Open plan living area with kitchen/lounge/dining room.

The Hut is a delightful, well presented two bedroom chalet, within a 5-minute drive to the heart of the historic naval town of Dartmouth. With contemporary interiors and nautical features, this charming property brings the beauty of the nearby River Dart into this cosy chalet. The stylish open sitting, dining and living area is the heart of the house, a wonderful space to marvel at the beautiful views of the surrounding rolling countryside. The dining area seats all four guests, and the comfortable lounge has two sofas, perfect for sinking into after a day spent exploring neighbouring chocolate box towns and villages. The living area leads into the well-equipped, light and bright kitchen. A wonderful base for a family, there are two bedrooms to sleep four guests. The master bedroom is furnished with one King-size bed and wardrobe, ideal for storing your holiday purchases from Dartmouth’s boutique shops. Bedroom two is a twin room with two single beds and a chest of drawers. To wash off sandy toes from one of South Devon’s unspoilt beaches, the tastefully-furnished family shower room has a large walk-in shower cubicle with electric shower and w.c and wash hand basin. Outside, to the front and side of the chalet is a communal area laid to lawn with private outside seating, provided for The Hut guests, from which you can site and enjoy the stunning countryside views as you dine ‘al fresco’. An allocated parking space is also provided close by. Sorry no pets and no smoking.

It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blue Flag Award winner Blackpool Sands, and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular and just a stone's throw from Dartmouth. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
