The Larches is an inviting single-storey lodge nestled in the heart of Llanidloes, Powys, with spectacular views of the lush countryside only a step away. Inside, the property is full of charm, with light furnishings contrasting beautifully with the lodges wooden interior, allowing each room to flow into the other seamlessly. The lodge sleeps up to four people so is ideal for a couple or a small family getaway. Upon entering the property, there is a spacious open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, featuring an electric oven with gas hobs, an integrated microwave and a concealed fridge, the living area is comprised of a sofa, a plush armchair, a TV and an electric fire, perfect for unwinding after dinner or a long walk. There is a beautifully decorated bedroom with notable vaulted ceilings, a king-sized bed which is zip/link and can be made into a twin upon request, a TV and the spectacular views can be viewed from the three-wide window directly opposite the bed. The second bedroom features a double bed, a TV and drawers for storage. Each bedroom has its own en-suite, one of which features a walk-in shower, whilst the other has a bath with a shower overhead perfect for soaking in. Both en-suites include a single basin and WC and have large stone-tiled walls in keeping with the property’s connection to the outdoors. Outside, there is a veranda with decking which leads to vast views of Llanidloes’ countryside, these views can be enjoyed from a choice of two outdoor seating areas, where a picnic or drinks can be enjoyed in the sun, or from the bubbling hot tub where relaxation is only a switch away. Guests at The Larches can use the off-road parking situated outside of the property, with space for two cars, you can leave yours parked and set off for the day on foot. The Larches surrounding area of Llanidloes is one to be explored, do not be fooled by its rural setting, there are a host of activities to suit all. Immerse yourself in Llanidloes rich history by visiting the Bryntail Lead Mine Buildings, which is situated next to the Clywedog Reservoir, pack up a picnic and bask in the tranquil surroundings, or grab a bite from one of the local eateries situated within five kilometres. If you’re feeling arty, the Minerva Arts Centre should be on your list, it offers fairs and carnivals, food, shopping and workshops if you’re looking to learn a new skill whilst away. Looking to take in the local scenery? Visit the Llanidloes Charter Market which has been held in the town since 1280, visitors can visit up to 25 stalls and purchase local crafts, produce and antiques. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.
