Within 12 miles you have the bustling town of Dorchester, home to a traditional high street lined with a wide selection of well-known shops and complemented by lanes accommodating charming boutique shops and independent retailers. On the edge of Dorchester rests Maumbury Rings, a grassed Roman amphitheatre which is a lovely spot for a picnic, and in the summer months it becomes a great venue for music and theatre events.
