This substantial, detached house lies in the village of Uffington, just outside the North Wessex AONB. Presented to a superb standard with lovely furnishings and homely touches, Innisfallen House provides an excellent base for a family or group of friends seeking a rural adventure. Pop off your walking boots and relax on the chesterfield sofa within the sitting room, tuning into the TV as the woodburning stove crackles in the background. Allow the chef of the group to get acquainted in the farmhouse kitchen, boasting plenty of storage and quality appliances, including two electric ovens, dishwasher, a washing machine and a tumble dryer, ensuring you are fully catered for during your stay. Serve a hearty breakfast at the dining table whilst you plan for the day ahead, deciding which quaint village to explore next. Bifold doors allow access to the decking where you can enjoy alfresco dining on a balmy evening, or roam the expansive lawns while the little ones play with your canine companion. When the weathers poor, sit within the garden room and enjoy the company of each other, or choose a book from a bookshelf and lose yourself in a good read. There are three tastefully presented bedrooms to choose from, including two doubles and a twin, served by an elegant bathroom and shower room, so you can choose how to prepare for the day. Acquaint yourself with your idyllic surroundings by heading into the village of Uffington, home to a pub which serves food and a convenience store for picking up any essentials. Visit the historic market towns of Wantage or Faringdon, where you can stroll through cobbled streets lined with restaurants, shops and cafés, making for delightful stop off points during your visit. Settled just outside the North Wessex Downs AONB, walkers will enjoy exploring the surrounding area, while there are also some beautiful attractions such as Buscot Park, home to an 18th century National Trust owned mansion and manicured water gardens, as well as Ashdown House. Further afield, find the market town of Circenchester, or you may even fancy a day out in Oxford, a beautiful city displaying many fine pieces of architecture. Uffington is a rural village resting about 4 miles south of Faringdon and 6 miles west of Wantage. The village is home to some basic amenities including a village shop and post office, a local pub, the Thomas Hughes Memorial Hall, and the pretty St. Mary’s Church. Further amenities can be found in Faringdon which include Faringdon Folly, Faringdon's Old Town Hall, and National Trust Owned Buscot Park, providing an excellent day out.
