54 Bridge Street is a beautiful late 17th century house is set over three floors and is an absolute gem, set in the market town of Brigg. Throughout this grand home there is evidence of its great age yet its character perfectly compliments the 21st century elegance and comfort offered throughout. The house would have been built for a man of substance, possibly a merchant, as trade and commerce expanded greatly during this time increasing England's wealth. The house offers five sumptuous and elegant bedrooms with their own distinct style, three of which are en-suite and there is an indulgent family bathroom and a ground-floor cloakroom. Each of the ground floor sitting rooms have the facility for a roaring fire, one of which is housed in an original range which would have been regularly black leaded in its day by the maid! Nowadays the range provides a comfortable place to curl up in comfort with a good book. The original windows provide ever changing framed pictures of the charming garden and the historic high street. For languorous dinner parties the formal dining room opens up to the garden through French windows, just the ticket for after dinner drinks on the patio. The sandy beach at Cleethorpes and the beautiful city of Lincoln are both just over a 20 mile drive from the house. Cleethorpes is home to the Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway, making for a fun-filled day out with the children, while the city of Lincoln offers an abundance of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés to discover along with its magnificent cathedral. The verdant and undulating Lincolnshire Wolds provide great opportunities for walking and cycling, with Hall Farm Park resting on the fringes, ideal for another afternoon out with the family.
