Fancy a day on the water head down to Camel ski school and Rock sailing club with a wide variety of watersports available. For the keen hikers there are fantastic coastal paths with magnificent views. Golf enthusiasts Rock has on the finest links courses in the Southwest. 8 miles away is the charming fishing port of Port Isaac famously known as Port Wenn home of the TV series Doc Martin. With it narrow windy steep streets leading to the harbour and whitewash fisherman cottages there are plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. Perfectly located for exploring the North Cornwall coast. Avoca is an ideal base for families.

Rock is a desirable and much sought after coastal village located on the north eastern bank of the River Camel opposite the famous harbour town of Padstow which is easily reached by a regular ferry service. Continuing on a sporting theme, the golf course at nearby St Enodoc is considered to be one of the best in the country.
