The shop is 0.4 miles away, the pub is 0.1 miles away, and the beach is 0.6 miles away. Please keep in mind that check-in begins at 4:30 p.m. and ends at 9 a.m. The Mizzen is a lovely setting for an escape to Cornwall.

Perched in the centre of the historic fishing village of Port Isaac, is this fabulous, four-bedroom cottage, The Mizzen. Enjoying a superb location with easy access to some of the most beautiful beaches in Cornwall, as well as a stylish open-plan layout with contemporary furnishings, The Mizzen makes for a wonderful dwelling for a group or family of six looking for a coastal escape to Cornwall. Be welcomed into the generous open-plan living space, where you can look forward to rustling up tasty home-cooked meals in the well-equipped kitchen, with the help of the electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and a handy dishwasher, so time won’t be wasted doing chores! Gather around the dining table for six as you tuck-into a delicious meal and make plans for the days ahead. Take advantage of the warmer weather and make dinner an alfresco affair out on the private patio as you savour the last of the day’s sunshine. As the evening begins to cool, retreat to the sofa where you can relax with a glass of wine in front of your favourite show on the TV, as the alluring multi-fuel stoves crackles nearby. Completing the ground floor is a well-appointed bathroom, where you can soothe tired feet with an indulgent soak in the bath. Climb the stairs to the first floor, where you will find two beautifully-decorated rooms, a double and a single, both served by a shower room, along with two additional bedrooms, a double and a single which can be found on the second floor, providing ample sleeping arrangements for all parties. Explore the local village where you will find a plethora of welcoming pubs and restaurants right on your doorstep, perfect for those evenings where you don’t feel like cooking! Wander through the 18-inch wide, charmingly named Squeezy Belly Alley, where just over the hill, Doc Martin fans will be able see the home of the character Aunt Ruth, or enjoy a leisurely stroll to Portwenn View, which rests on the scenic South West Coastal Path and where you can soak up some of the best views in the area. Take the short drive over to Polzeath, well-known for its family-friendly beach with glorious golden sands stretching for miles, here you can sunbathe with your favourite book, paddle the shores or take to the waters and try your hand at the local favourite watersport, surfing. Just off the beach is the popular Oystercatcher pub, where you can treat your loved ones to a flavourful meal on the picturesque beach-view terrace. Just a little further is Rock, where you can explore the waters of the River Camel via water skiing, test out your clubs at the historic St Enodoc Golf Club or catch a ferry over to Padstow, where you will find the National Lobster Hatchery, the Camel cycling Trail and the lavish 16th-century Prideaux Place.
