The village of Fortuneswell is on the rugged Isle of Portland peninsula, joined to the mainland by Chesil Beach, a pebble spit that stretches 18 miles towards West Bay. With stunning views of the Jurassic Coast and the rolling Dorset hills beyond, Fortuneswell has a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as an intriguing maze of streets that wind their way up a steep hill. The surrounding countryside is renowned for its birdwatching opportunities, and with Weymouth only 5 miles away, this is a holiday destination not to be missed!
