Within 2.8 miles you will find a shop and within 2.5 miles, a pub and please note that this is a non-smoking property. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. The Old Lodge is a lovely base for a family retreat in Gloucestershire.

Location Details

Once a Roman hamlet, Newent is one of the most beautiful market towns in the Valley of Leadon. It provides a variety of attractions, such as the half-timbered Old Market Hall from 1668, as well as historic inns, restaurants, tea rooms, and independent shops. The beautiful Royal Forest of Dean, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is bordered on the north by Newent, which offers a number of paths for hiking, biking, and equestrian riding. The well-known Three Choirs Vineyard and the charming seaside city of Gloucester, with its Roman foundations, Victorian docklands, and magnificent Norman Cathedral, are also only a short drive away. Visitors to the area can take day trips to the charming Hay-on-Wye, the Black Mountains, and the picturesque Brecon Beacons National Park from the nearby ancient market town of Ross-on-Wye.
