Note: There are six slate steps with a handrail down to the property entrance, please take care, this property may be unsuitable for those with limited mobility and children under 5. Note: Discounts can be arranged for outdoor activities including walks, canoeing, climbing and are available when booking this property, arranged directly with the owner. Location Details

Newby Bridge, a small settlement on the banks of the River Leven, is named after a five-arched stone bridge built in 1651. Between Haverthwaite and Newby Bridge, the famed Furness Railway, one of Britain's oldest working standard gauge steam railways, operates. Visit the Lakeside Hotels for spectacular views of Windermere and the surrounding fells, or visit the Aquarium of the Lakes to learn about the history of the Lakes through organically designed habitats.
