Many of Scarborough's exquisite houses, parks, and gardens, as well as its mediaeval castle, have been preserved since the Victorian era. Beautiful golden sand beaches popular with families and little children may be found in North and South Bays. For adults, there are numerous attractions, including the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough Spa, and Scarborough Open Air Theatre for live music. There are also a number of kid-friendly activities.
