East of Hereford, under the Malvern Hills, is the historic market town of Ledbury, which dates to 960 AD. It is surrounded by pristine English countryside. On the banks of the River Leadon, the town of Ledbury is renowned for its many timbered structures, such as Ledbury Park, which is thought to be one of England's finest Black and White structures, the 17th-century Market House in the heart of the city, and The Painted Room, which contains frescoes from the 16th century.
