Location Details

Launceston, on the boundary between Devon and Cornwall, is home to some beautiful Georgian structures in its town square and the crumbling remains of a Norman castle perched on the hill above. The Willow Tree Cafe and Woodland Walk are dog-friendly attractions, while the steam train from Launceston travels through the scenic Kensey Valley on a 5-mile round trip. From Launceston, you can easily reach the beautiful Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor, as well as the northern beach towns of Bude and Padstow and the southern city of Plymouth. An ideal location from which to explore Cornwall and Devon.

Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?
