Helston is the western gateway to the Lizard Peninsula, which has a lovely shoreline. Helston is a major market town famed for its Flora Day Festival and "Furry Dance" tales. Poldark Mine, one of the best subterranean experiences in the south west, informs about the area's mining legacy. At the National Seal Sanctuary on the Helford River, visitors may observe seals frolic and feed. Flambards theme park features thrilling rides and wonderful living history experiences.
