Northumberland's northernmost village, Cornhill-on-Tweed, is only 15 miles from Berwick and the coast and only 1.5 miles from Coldstream. Beautiful, open countryside is perfect for strolling or playing a round of golf, and the tranquilly of the area draws anglers to the nearby River Tweed. Northumberland's Heritage Coast, complete with castles, miles of sandy beaches, wildlife, and dunes, is only a leisurely 30-minute drive from Cornhill. 40 minutes away is Alnwick, where you can visit a castle and garden from the Norman era. The village has both a post office/shop (stocking most necessities) and a Country House Hotel (The Collingwood Arms) known for its excellent food and drink.
