Location Details

Debenham is a peaceful village settled in mid Suffolk, east of the bustling market town of Stowmarket. The River Deben runs along this pretty village, and you will find a selection of timber-framed buildings, as well as St Mary Magdalene church. Dining options include an Indian for a delicious takeaway and a traditional fish and chip shop, or if you fancy making use of the kitchen there are supermarkets to stock up on the essentials. Just outside the village, is the grandeur of Kenton Hall Estate, Mid-Suffolk Light Railway for a steam train ride and Stonham Barns Park to meet furry animals. Explore the rolling countryside of Stowmarket, here you can learn about rural life at Museum of East Anglian Life and relish the tranquil Church Meadow Nature Reserve. Head to the historical market town of Framlingham to tour a castle, which was once a hiding place for Queen Mary and unveil the past at Framlingham Workhouse.
