Location Details

The East Riding of Yorkshire, England contains the little ancient market town of Howden. The distance from York to it is around 20 kilometres. The Howden town centre is well conserved, with narrow cobblestone lanes, renovated buildings with some nice shops, ancient coaching inns and delightful tea places, and a small market held every Friday. The Howden town centre is dominated by its stunning Minster. Howden Marsh, a peaceful area for a stroll near the town, has a lake and a few little islands that serve as a haven for wildlife and birds. Within the Vale of York, the town of Pocklington is not too far away. Magnificent Castle Howard, lovely Sledmere House, and of course the city of York are just a few of the well-known landmarks nearby. The city of York doesn't require any recommendations because it is brimming with things to do for tourists, including The Minister, boat rides on the River Ouse, museums, and of course York Races.
