Pelynt is a quaint Cornish settlement, and its name comes from the word for "parish" in Cornish: plw. Pelynt is a fantastic inland base for your next visit to Cornwall, surrounded by lovely scenery and within reach of the wide Bodmin Moor. Both the large fishing port town of Looe and the delightful sands of the Polperro Heritage Coast are less than four miles apart. The community has all you need for a self-catered stay, including a convenience store, a SPAR, and a pub (the Jubilee Inn). East Looe Beach is a popular swimming spot in Looe, and the remainder of the town is full with intriguing things to see and do, such as the pier, the riverfront, and the many restaurants and cafes. You can also learn about the area's history at the Old Guildhall Museum and Gaol. The picturesque Polperro Harbour and Polperro Harbour Heritage Museum highlight the area's rich maritime history, while the nearby Polperro Model Village provides an additional charming diversion.
