Location Details

Tadcaster is a historic market town conveniently situated between the North Yorkshire Moors and the Yorkshire Dales. Wonderful walks can be had along the River Wharfe, as well as cycling, climbing, fishing, boating, golfing, or simply sitting and taking in the serene atmosphere and picturesque surroundings. World-famous beers brewed at three Tadcaster establishments are known and enjoyed all over the globe. John Smith's was established in 1758, making it one of the oldest breweries in the United Kingdom. Brewery tours are offered frequently and are quite popular. Harrogate, a spa town, and the historic, fascinating cathedral cities of Ripon and York are all within easy driving distance, as are the grand stately homes of Castle Howard and Harewood House, the Cistercian abbeys of Fountains, Rievaulx, and Jervaulx, and the castles of Middleham, Bolton, and Richmond.

The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
