Location Details

The ruined castle of Corfe Castle dominates the landscape of the historic village and civil parish of Corfe Castle in the English county of Dorset, which is owned by the National Trust. The village has stunning views of the Purbeck Hills and is conveniently located between Wareham and Swanage, making it a great base for exploring the area's exciting coast and countryside. With the Hartland Moor National Nature Reserve and the Studland and Godlingston Heath National Nature Reserve both within convenient driving distance, this area is ideal for those interested in outdoor exploration, as it includes sections of the Jurassic Coast and boasts beautiful walking paths and seascapes. With its Model Village & Gardens, Purbeck Mineral & Mining Museum, Dorset Adventure Park, Boilerhouse Gallery, and, of course, Corfe Castle (which dates back a thousand years), the village offers a wide variety of services and amenities to its visitors. Family-friendly activities like the Purbeck Big Apple Maize Maze and the Blue Flag and Seaside Award-winning beach in Swanage are both easily accessible. The bay also provides scuba diving for those interested in trying something new. Explore Swanage and its many attractions, such as the Swanage Railway, Durlston Castle and Country Park, the Swanage Museum, and a wide variety of shops and restaurants, or travel to Bournemouth and Weymouth to find even more exciting activities for visitors of all ages.

OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
