Sheringham began as a little fishing community on the coast of North Norfolk, but after the railroads arrived there in 1887, it flourished and developed into a well-liked vacation destination. Sheringham has received accolades from Britain in Bloom, Anglia in Bloom, and Best Coastal Resort in addition to 10 consecutive European Blue Flags for the cleanliness of its beach.
