This single-storey cottage sleeps people in three bedrooms, consisting of two doubles, including one with an en-suite shower room, a twin room, as well as a family shower room. The cottage also has a kitchen, sitting room with dining area and woodburning stove. Outside there is off road parking for four cars, a front patio, rear yard and a elevated lawned area with furniture. Padley Barn is an ideal rural escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The comfortable sitting room in this cottage near Reeth features exposed timbers, an inglenook fireplace housing a woodburner, stone flagged floors and French doors, from which lovely open views beyond the garden can be seen. The well-equipped kitchen has a contemporary feel, with a fabulous range cooker and Belfast sink, and with three bright and airy bedrooms, one with a super king-size bed and modern en-suite, this Hurst cottage provides plenty of space for everyone in your party. Outside this Hurst cottage is an elevated, lawned seating area, from where you can admire the splendid views and soak up the sun. With road and mountain bike hire and repair in Reeth, and the 2014 Tour de France route close by, there's no excuse not to get out and about on your bike. Nearby Reeth, with its pretty village green, offers traditional local inns, a scattering of shops and delightful tea rooms. Enjoy a peaceful walk by the river, or through the wildflower hay meadows, which takes in part of the Coast to-Coast long distance trail, or do some birdwatching in the unspoilt countryside. The thriving market town of Richmond lies ten miles from this Reeth cottage and has varied amenities, including a golf course, museums and antiquarian bookshops, as well as a unique Georgian theatre. The centrally-located castle ruins afford majestic views from the steep-sided footpath to the turbulent River Swale, far below.
