Many come to visit the parsonage where the Brontes lived during the 1820s and see the surrounding moorlands where they drew inspiration for their classic tales. While there is something for everyone in the town itself, the nearby market town of Skipton, boasting cobbled streets, a medieval castle and award-winning high street makes a wonderful day out. Further afield, are Hebden Bridge and the Victorian spa town of Harrogate, as well as the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, just over half an hour's drive away. A first class romantic retreat.
