The stunning landscape of the North York Moors National Park is a haven for walkers, whilst nearby, the numerous pretty coastal and inland villages are a delight to explore. Visit famous Goathland, 'Heartbeat' village, take a trip on the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway, or take in the charm of Whitby, renowned for the best fish and chips in Yorkshire. The settlement itself is home to a post office and the general store, an excellent butcher and one hotel with pub and restaurant. Slightly further afield is the seaside town of Whitby whilst the moorland villages of Hutton-le-Hole, Lastingham and Thornton Dale, as well as the market town of Pickering, are all within easy driving distance. Nearby Grosmont is the terminus of the North York Moors Railway, allowing visitors to take a steam-train ride through beautiful moorland scenery.

The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
