With an exceptionally high standard of furnishing and equipment, this cottage nestles high on the moors in a quiet National Park village above Newtondale where the steam trains whistle below. In the 19th century, the property housed a horse driven threshing machine and more recently it became a dairy and features a unique stone fireplace, along with massive timber beams, which may have come from oaks in Newtondale or from ships broken up at Whitby. Ecologically aware, Dairy House offers spacious accommodation over two floors with three bedrooms, a bathroom and a shower room, and provides a light and airy feel, whilst it also feels cosy in winter. Footpaths nearby wander through wild flower pastures, beautiful woodlands and on to the moors.
