A welcoming, stone link-detached cottage, set on a small estate on the outskirts of the pretty market town of Middleham. Stylish and contemporary throughout, Cleeve Cottage is a real delight with first class fittings and fixtures, offering friends and families an ideal holiday home for enjoying this popular area of the Yorkshire Dales. Featuring a comfortable sitting room with two beautiful sofas arranged around the main fireplace, which houses a characterful multi-fuel stove, this is a cosy space to put your feet up after a day of exploring the local countryside. The well-equipped kitchen/diner provides a great space to sit and enjoy an evening meal, talk about the travails of the day and prepare plans for the rest of the holiday. The master bedroom boasts a luxurious pocket sprung king-size bed and the second bedroom contains full-size twin single beds. Although it boasts two market places, Middleham is a now really only a market town in name; the Yorkshire Dales community is better known these days for its links to The Sport of Kings – horse racing. The old town is just a short walk from your cottage, and includes excellent old pubs and local restaurants, along with a well-stocked general store. The famous ruined castle, founded as a simple moat-and-bailey structure in the 12th century, is less than half a mile away, where fantastic views stretch across Wensleydale. The nearby villages of West Witton and East Witton boast award-winning gastropubs and both are well worth a visit. Explore nearby Bolton Castle, visit the famous Aysgarth Falls or take a ride on the Wensleydale Railway. This delightful cottage is ideal for a family or for a romantic break.
