Ash Tree Barn is a wonderful, upside-down holiday home in Wainstalls, two miles from Luddenden in Yorkshire's Calderdale. The property is the wing of the owners' stone farmhouse, set on their non-working farm. There is a spacious double bedroom upstairs, which also makes up the sitting area and downstairs, there is a shower room and a kitchen with a dining area, as well as boot storage in the hallway. Outside, there is off road parking for two cars and a patio where you can enjoy a spot of lunch, or why not take a leisurely stroll around the owners' grounds? In a lovely location, with wonderful attractions close by, Ash Tree Barn is perfect for a romantic getaway. Note: One well-behaved dog welcome.

Set on a high promontory overlooking the wild and rugged countryside of Calderdale, this charming, upside-down wing of the owners’ stone-built farmhouse is situated in the tiny hamlet of Wainstalls, just two miles from Luddenden. This lovely, restored property offers wonderful views of the surrounding area and first-class holiday accommodation, ideal for getting away from it all and enjoying a romantic break. It is part of a large, non-working farm and on the first floor, there is a spacious living area with a curved ceiling, modern Velux windows and a large picture window on the gable end to take advantage of the spectacular views across the valley. With a 50" screen television with Netflix, it makes a luxurious sitting area, while the king size bed is positioned to take advantage of the fabulous views. On the ground floor, there is a modern, well-equipped kitchen/diner, a first-class shower room and access to a small patio area, where you can enjoy a glass of wine in the evening sunshine. You can also make use of the owners’ spacious grounds! The local pub is just a two-minute walk away, renowned for its hospitality, good ale and excellent food, plus there are many inspiring walks across the beautiful moors that can be enjoyed from the doorstep. Hebden Bridge, Haworth and the bustling town of Skipton are all within an easy drive and definitely worth exploring. Look out for the Ted Hughes Festival that takes place in the town of Mytholmroyd, his birthplace, each year, or visit Shibden Hall, an exquisite, six hundred year-old timber manor house set within 37 hectares of the Shibden Valley! This fabulous holiday home is ideal for a couple’s retreat, where you can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy this historic corner of the Yorkshire Dales.
