Beautifully finished, with high-quality fittings, the property is perfectly placed to enjoy the Dales, the North York Moors and the wonderful historic city of York. With all ground floor accommodation, there is a spacious open plan living area, with exposed timbers in the high pitched roof and a cosy woodburning stove, set within a feature brick fireplace. The barn has a contemporary feel throughout; the flooring is polished limestone with the added benefit of luxurious underfloor heating. The modern well-equipped kitchen has granite worktops, a Belfast sink and a large American fridge/freezer. Large windows throw in plenty of light, whilst patio doors open onto the communal lawned garden. With great attention to detail, there is a bedroom leading off each end of the living area, one with an impressive wet room and the other with a well-appointed bathroom. The surrounding area is ideal walking and cycling country, with the pretty market towns of Thirsk and Easingwold are just a few minutes’ drive. A trip to the spa town of Harrogate is within easy reach, as is the cathedral city of Ripon. York is an essential part of any itinerary, with many attractions, including the Jorvik Viking Centre, the National Railway Museum and the famous Minster. Walk the medieval walls, or the more energetic may like to climb the tower in the Minster for a spectacular vista of the city. With countryside and towns to explore, this lovely barn conversion provides an excellent base.
