This cosy lower ground floor apartment was formed from the net store of what was once a fisherman’s cottage, quietly tucked away within the charming village of Staithes. Set over the lower ground floor level, this holiday home is situated below a two-storey cottage and is an ideal retreat for couples wanting to get away from it all. The open plan living area with exposed stone walls, beamed ceilings and a warming woodburning stove creates the perfect space to snuggle around on cooler evenings! With a pretty double bedroom and spacious shower room, Grimes Nook provides traditional, comfortable accommodation. Outside is a small front patio with bench where you can sit with a morning cup of coffee, whilst soaking up the atmosphere in this quaint, historic village. A two minute walk brings you to local inns, tea rooms and village shops, whilst the harbour and beach are just a stone's throw away. Wander around the narrow, cobbled streets and alleyways, or enjoy an invigorating walk along the cliffs to nearby Runswick Bay. A little further up the coast you will find the old spa town of Saltburn, with its elegant architecture and lovely sandy beach, whilst the vibrant port of Whitby offers excellent restaurants, independent shops and ancient abbey. Loading/unloading area approx. 100 yards from cottage - no parking at the bottom of Staithes village. Front patio with bench. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shops, pubs and beach 2 mins walk. Note: This property is accessed via a short flight of steps. Note: Mobile phone reception is limited in Staithes. Note: Parking and stairs may mean cottage is unsuitable for the less mobile. Note: Check-in 4pm. Note: No children, including infants. Note: This property has recently been refurbished. Note: There is no glass on the front of the woodburning stove, pets to be supervised at all times

The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
