A superb detached stone built cottage with gated private parking situated in a secluded courtyard setting in the pretty village of Rosedale Abbey, in the heart of the North York Moors National Park. The single-storey accommodation boasts a warm and inviting generous sized open-plan living area with plush seating, a well-equipped contemporary fitted kitchen with built-in appliances, ideal for preparing tasty meals, and a formal dining area which provides a sociable space for entertaining. The high vaulted ceiling and tall picture windows create a unique sense of space yet the cottage still retains its snug ambience. A double bedroom leads off from the sitting room and is complemented by quality bedding and furniture, benefiting from a bright en-suite shower room. Outside, there is a sunny patio area with furniture where you can sit with a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine during the warmer months. The cottage provides a perfect romantic hideaway for couples wanting to explore this stunning part of North Yorkshire, yet want the convenience of being close to a shop, tea room and village inn. There are a number of excellent golf courses in the vicinity for the enthusiast, whilst an easy drive takes you to the bustling market towns of Kirkbymoorside, Pickering and Helmsley and the popular seaside resorts of Whitby and Scarborough. Located in Rosedale, a beautiful valley of sweeping hillsides and breathtaking views, this lovely little settlement is surrounded by wonderful moorland countryside and offers walks in every direction. The village is home to the remains of a 12th Century Cistercian Priory - a stone pillar, staircase and sundial are all that remain, which gave the town its unusual name. The village is now largely made up of stone-built cottages clustered around the village green. Packed with local amenities such as shops, tearooms, an art gallery, a glass studio and three old country pubs, there is plenty to do without venturing to nearby Hutton-le-Hole, Ryedale and Kirkbymoorside.
