A rural location, peaceful and picturesque and perfect for exploring by rail, bike or on foot with the station nearby at Yeoford. Apple cottage has been transformed from what was once an old cob and stone barn into a beautiful Eco-friendly cottage, tastefully renovated with modern country cottage interior. A welcoming open plan living space is warmed not only by Eco friendly heating central and underfloor heating, but also with a wood burning stove, making it an ideal out of season rural escape. There are two first floor bedrooms offering versatile sleeping and a modern shower room. Outside a little area with table and chairs is the perfect spot to enjoy morning coffee and parking is opposite. A trip into the nearby market town of Crediton will take less than 7 minutes where you will find a good selection of shops, pubs and supermarkets. The village pub at Coleford, The New Inn can be reached on foot in 20 mins. A wonderful base for exploring this beautiful unspoiled region of Devon, Apple Cottage is a wonderful choice for all seasons.

Two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x twin, zip link can be super king-size double on request. Shower room with shower, basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area, sitting area with woodburning stove.

This gorgeous country cottage has been renovated from a cob and stone barn and transformed into a wonderful eco-friendly holiday retreat. Attached to its sister cottage, Plum Cottage, they both overlook an old cider orchard that stands within the owners’ grounds, surrounded by rolling green countryside, just outside the tiny village of Colebrooke close to Crediton in Mid Devon. A perfect retreat for walkers and those wishing to explore the region on foot or two wheels. Apple Cottage is open plan with a warm and inviting interior, beautifully appointed and well equipped. A comfortable seating area is arranged around a wood burning stove for cosy evenings in during cooler months, and a farmhouse table allows comfortable dining next to the country style modern kitchen. On the first floor a spacious double bedroom looks out over the orchard, whilst the twin room offers versatile sleeping with zip and link beds that can be a super-king double on request. A modern shower room completes the interior. There is an outdoor seating directly in-front of the cottage screened to offer privacy from your neighbours. The village of Coleford has a great pub the New Inn and can be reached on foot, just over a mile. There is also a good pub at Yeoford a 15 mins walk where you can also hop aboard the Ale Train along the Tarka line that winds its way through the beautiful countryside from Exeter to north coast and Barnstaple, North Devon’s premier town. Join the two moors way from the cottage, where you can follow the route that spans from Ivybridge on the south edge of Dartmoor to Lynmouth on the North coast of Exmoor. For beach days, head south to Exmouth that can be reached by car or by train, and the wild moors and high tors of Dartmoor can be reached in less than half an hour. The nearest town is Crediton where you will find a good selection of shops, a weekly farmers market and a large supermarket. Apple Cottage is a perfect base for those who want to explore the best this beautiful region has to offer, from woodland walks, country pubs, farmers markets and wonderful green rolling countryside.
