Elv cottage is ideally situated with the River Dee a short stroll away and from here you can take the tiny ferry boat to the Meadows in the Summer months or just sit and indulge in the events surrounding the water. Fancy a pint?....There is a traditional pub (5 mins walk) "The Mount" with an outstanding beer garden positioned on the riverbank and if it's gourmet food in a breathtaking location you're after, try "Et Alia" at the Red House. A stunning gem for food and alfresco wining and dining. Chester has been named "The jewel of the North - West" and quite rightly so, with some of the most fascinating historical aspects, the city boasts old walls, a Roman amphitheatre, medieval churches and Elizabethan timber - framed townhouses. Explore the magnificent Chester cathedral, spend a day at the zoo and if you time it right, the spectacular Chester Racecourse might be hosting an event, so grab your best finery and head on down to place your bets, it's only a 20 minute walk away. A stone's throw away is the stunning Welsh coastline and mountains and Liverpool and Manchester are easily accessed via train or road. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
