Accommodation Details

Over two floors. There are two first floor bedrooms: 1 x double bedroom with double bed and 1 x twin bedroom. There is a family bathroom with bath, basin and WC. Ground floor: 1 x single bedroom with adjacent shower room, basin and WC. Kitchen with dining area following onto a lounge with French doors leading into a garden.

The Granary is a barn conversion sleeping five people in three bedrooms in the rural hamlet of Ruthwaite. Set in a peaceful location, this accommodation makes a fabulous choice for a quiet holiday with open views of Skiddaw from your garden. On the first floor you will find two bedrooms, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. There is a shared bathroom with bath, basin and WC. Downstairs on the ground floor there is a further single bedroom with adjacent shower room, basin and WC. Up four steps there is a lovely lounge to unwind after a busy day exploring the Lake District and a kitchen/diner which leads into the characterful lounge with a French doors that take you out to the secluded South facing garden where you can spend your time admiring the uninterrupted vista of Skiddaw. Ruthwaite dates back to the 1600's and is within easy access to the market town of Keswick, also a mile away you will find a warm welcome in the nearby village pubs of Ireby and Uldale, where they serve good food in the evenings.

Located to the north of Keswick, Ireby is located in a peaceful rural area of the northern Lake District. Full of history, the peaks of Great Calva and Knott look down on the village and you can visit the site of the Bronze Age farms and the remains of a pre-Roman road. Nearby will find you Bassenthwaite Lake, the perfect place to wander and explore the beautiful scenery. Cockermouth and Keswick are both nearby towns with plenty of shops and restaurants to offer. Ireby is set in a tranquil area, ideal for those looking to getaway at any time of year.

The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
