Other beauty spots include Whinlatter Forest, Ashness Bridge, Surprise View and of course the shores of Derwentwater offering a wide variety of activities including boat hire and cruises. For the less active there are numerous shops, pubs, restaurants, museums and parks and of course The Theatre by the Lake.
