The ideal location for two families holidaying together, or for a group of friends celebrating a special occasion, Greety Gate House offers high-quality accommodation for eight people in this beautiful character property. Refurbished to a high standard, this charming holiday home has plenty of character including original beams and a wood burning stove in the open plan living and dining room. The conservatory is the perfect place to take in the lovely views of the surrounding countryside and relax after a busy day sightseeing. The Shaker style kitchen is fully equipped and there's a separate utility room perfect for muddy boots. There's also a ground floor cloakroom with wash basin and WC. The accommodation is laid out over three floors with two boutique hotel style double bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms, on the first floor with views out to the Dutton estuary. At the top of the house, there's a large bedroom with 4 single beds - ideal for children - and a bathroom with bathtub, hand basin and WC. The garden at Greety Gate House is particularly lovely with a lawn surrounded by mature shrubs and borders, a summerhouse and garden seating to take in the views towards the Duddon Estuary and nearby Black Combe Fell. There are plenty of different areas to explore including the feature pond, and the garden is fully enclosed making it perfect for children and pets. There's also off road parking for 3 cars. With plenty of walks and open countryside on the doorstep, plus the lovely village of Broughton in Furness, you won't have to venture far from Greety Gate House to find something to do. There is much to please the visitor such as a pretty, cobbled square complete with a splendid horse chestnut tree, enclosed by shops, pubs and homes, many of them Georgian in origin. The village provides an ideal base for a walking or climbing holiday, with ample opportunity to explore the rugged beauty of the Duddon Valley and the quieter Lake District fells. Norman Nicholson, one of Britain's finest 20th century poets and William Wordsworth, both immortalised this area in their writing and poetry.

"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
