Shatterford Lakes is a semi-detached cottage, part of the owners' home with its own entrance, half a mile from the hamlet of Shatterford, close to Kidderminster in Worcestershire. This cottage sleeps ten people in four bedrooms, consisting of one zip/link king-size double with en-suite shower room and a balcony, two twins and a family room with one king-size double and two single beds and a balcony. The cottage also has a kitchen, dining room, sitting room with woodburning stove, a snug and a bathroom. Outside there is an enclosed lawned garden with patio, furniture, a barbecue and fishing lakes 100 meters away (available by arrangement and at extra cost. Please bring own equipment, there is a fishing shop on-site). Shatterford Lakes is an ideal holiday home for a family or group of friends who wish to explore all of Worcestershire and the surrounding counties.

Offering stunning views from the rear of the property, this cottage near Shatterford has four lovely bedrooms, with the master having the added benefit of en-suite facilities and a balcony, ideal for relaxing and enjoying the view! The vast sitting room has a warming woodburning stove, perfect for those chilly evenings, and the double patio doors lead you onto the rear lawned garden. Outside you can enjoy a relaxing soak in the hot tub after a long days exploring. The owners' fishing lakes can be enjoyed by guests and so whether you're a beginner or experienced angler they offer perfect fishing conditions. The Wyre Forest, one of the largest ancient woodlands in the country lies just a short distance away and is a haven for wildlife, flora and fauna and provides many walks and cycle routes. Also close by is the riverside market town of Bewdley, offering a good selection of shops, many riverside pubs and cafes, as well as the Severn Valley Railway and West Midlands Safari Park, and the ancient village of Kinver overlooks the impressive Kinver Edge and boasts its own brewery. The scattered hamlet of Shatterford lies in unspoilt Worcestershire countryside, on the edge of the Wyre Forest, close to the towns of Bewdley and Stourbridge and four miles north of Kidderminster. One of the largest ancient woodlands in the country, the Wyre Forest is a designated SSSI and National Nature Reserve offering visitors lovely walks and cycle trails and is home to many rare species of wildlife, flora and fauna. The pretty town of Bewdley, once described as the most perfect Georgian town in Worcestershire lies on the banks of the River Severn and offers a good choice of pubs, restaurants, cafes, antique and craft galleries, as well as the Severn Valley Railway. Overlooking the nearby village of Kinver is the impressive Kinver Edge, a sandstone ridge covering 300 acres and offering long distant views of the surrounding area, along with Iron Age hill forts and cave-houses, which were occupied until the mid-1900s, and why not sample the wines at the local vineyard at Astley. Also close by is Stourbridge, famous for its glassmaking and some of the best attractions in the country, including the West Midlands Safari Park, plus Ironbridge Gorge and the Royal Air Force Museum at Cosford are within driving distance. The medieval town of Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare, the beautiful Malvern Hills, Ludlow, Warwick with its magnificent castle and Bridgnorth, along with many unspoilt Cotswold towns and villages also make a memorable day out.
