Excellent coastal walks especially through the Valley of the Rocks, from Heddons Mouth to Woody Bay and along the top of Countisbury Hill.

Friday to Friday and long weekends accepted during the off peak season, please call to enquire. 8 bedrooms. 1 super king size with a single bed with ample space for a Z bed (provided but only set up on request). 1 twin room with 2 zip and links (which can be made into 1 double on request). 1 triple bunk bedroom (double on bottom with single on top). 2 double rooms, 1 restricted access double which is reached from one side. 1 zip and link made up as king size (singles on request) with an additional single futon if required.. The ground floor play room can be set up to provide an eighth double room, if required (provided but only set up on request). Kitchen with electric oven and gas hob, large fridge/ freezer (with ice maker/dispenser), dishwasher and microwave. Lounge with TV/DVD and wood burner (first basket of logs included). Dining room with open fire (some logs included). Spacious landing area with seating on first floor. Breakfast area adjoining the kitchen, seating 8. Children s playroom with toys, Wii games console, PS2, TV/DVD, Sonos bridge (bring your own Sonos speakers) books and board games. Utility/boot room which includes a washing machine and spare fridge. Reception area. 1 bathroom with shower over the bath and WC shared between 2 rooms. 1 large bathroom with large corner bath, WC and separate shower, shared by 2 double bedrooms. 1 en suite bathroom with spa bath, separate shower and WC. 1 en suite shower room with WC. 1 en suite spa bath and shower 2. WCs on the ground floor. Extensive lawns. Terrace with large outside table. Charcoal BBQ available in the summer (guests to provide charcoal and leave clean). A tennis court is available for guest to use on request, located across the road from property (guests to bring own equipment). Electric, central heating and Wi Fi included. The property is on a working farm which is set away from the house. Guests are welcoming to enjoy horse riding lessons, which can be arranged (or livery can be arranged to bring your own horses); all are on request, direct to the owner. Beach 13 miles. Post Office and pub less than 1 mile. Please note that if you require the extra put me up beds you must bring your own linen and towels, but pillows and duvets are provided.
Further Details
Attractions close by include the National Trust properties at Dunster, Arlington Court and Knighthayes Court and at Minehead, Somerwest World (Butlins), West Somerset Steam Railway and nearby the pretty town of Dulverton. There is a public footpath down a track next to the barns which is a great short cut to the pub, a 5 minute stroll away (a torch is necessary in the evenings and it can get slippery when wet). This substantial period home is in the heart of Exmoor with its own gated entrance and shared driveway to the stable yard and farm. It offers amazing views from all the rooms. The area is renowned for some of the most picturesque countryside in the South West with excellent, walking, riding and shooting. On arrival guests enter via the rear utility/boot room which includes a washing machine and spare fridge. A more impressive entrance can be gained through the front door which has a reception area which proceeds into the lounge to comfortably sits 14 and has a TV/DVD, woodburner (some logs included) and great country views. Next door the separate elegant wood panelled dining room offering ample seating, sofas, comfy chairs and open fire (some logs included) The dining table seats up to 12 but additional tables and chairs has enabled 20 sit down to dinner. The well equipped kitchen has an electric oven and gas hob, large fridge/ freezer (ice maker/dispenser) dishwasher, microwave and is adjoined by a Breakfast area seating 8 which opens out to terrace. In addition, Children s playroom with toys, Wii games console, PS2, TV/DVD, Sonos bridge (bring your own Sonos speakers) books and board games, just off the lounge. The middle floor has a spacious landing area with seating. 1 super king size with a single bed and a dressing room with ample space for a Z bed (provided but only set up on request) and en suite bathroom: with spa bath, separate shower and WC. Outside: Gardens can best be seen from the terrace with its balustrades and steps leading down to the extensive lawns. The terrace has a large outside table which seats 10 and lounge seating and cushions (which should be stored in boxes overnight). There is a charcoal bbq available in the summer (guests to provide charcoal and leave clean). Amenities: ample parking. Bed linen, towels, electric, central heating and wi fi included.
