The town has a wealth of independent shops and a fine selection of restaurants, cafes and pubs which are all within a two minute walk of the cottage. Enjoy the beach and coastal walks as well as a variety of water sports including windsurfing, kite surfing and sailing. Whitstable is famous for its oysters which are celebrated every July at the Oyster Festival. Why not take a bike ride along the seafront, or follow the Crab and Winkle Way or ride along the coast of Herne Bay. Nearby is the city of Canterbury, which is home to the country s oldest Cathedral and the perfect place to enjoy some history and culture A light and airy hallway greets guests on arrival at this stylish property, drop off your coats and shoes before turning left which brings guests to the spacious kitchen/diner, a fantastic communal space where guests can enjoy relaxing and spending time together. Large patio doors flood this room with light, and it s a great place to enjoy family mealtimes together at the large dining table with seating for all. Light the wood burner and enjoy a cosy evening of family board games to keep everyone entertained. The kitchen area is contemporarily styled and is equipped with everything that guests will need, including an gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and Nespresso machine. Returning to the hallway, a door leads through to the cosy lounge, a wonderfully cosy room with inviting seating surrounding the TV/DVD, where you can play one of the selection of boards games and watch the DVDs. Completing the ground floor is a shower room with shower, WC and a cupboard housing the washing machine and a tumble dryer. Please note that the stairs from the hallway are very steep that lead up to the first floor where guests will find three bedrooms, two king size and the third is a cosy double with views over the garden. The bathroom offers a slipper bath, perfect for a relaxing soak and WC. Outside, the property enjoys an enclosed rear garden with a charcoal BBQ on the patio area and a lawn area, which is accessed through the patio doors in the kitchen/diner.
