A real treat for the adventurous, this superb holiday home is ideally placed for all the attractions and outdoor activities on offer in this glorious corner of the UK ,but is equally perfect for those who just want to soak up the peace and quiet and relax. A short distance from the Western edge of Grizedale Forest, miles of walking and cycling trails are yours to explore. Enjoy your favourite water sports on magical Coniston Water where Donald Campbell made his water speed record attempts in the famous Bluebird . Coniston village is just over a mile away and offers a range of outdoor activity providers, shops, pubs, cafes and a highly rated bistro. The Boating Centre is a great place from which to hire boats, take boat trips on the famous Gondola (a Victorian steam yacht) and launches or just simply feed the ducks and enjoy an ice cream. This holiday retreat offers a combination of style and comfort, coupled with an enviable position close to the lake and is equally suited to both those who want to relax and those looking for adventures. With its wooden beams, deep set windows and slate tiled downstairs flooring, this house has a taste of the traditional but is balanced with more contemporary styling, creating a very special home from home. From the courtyard the house opens, through the original arched barn entrance, into the stylish, spacious lounge a room full of character with a TV and DVD player and an inglenook fireplace with wood burner; this is the perfect place to gather and relax especially after a long day exploring. Through glazed French windows to the left is the kitchen/diner which is roomy and well equipped with electric cooker, ceramic hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and washing machine and makes a great sociable space for a relaxed cooking and dining experience. From the hallway there is a compact, tasteful ground floor shower room with walk in shower WC and hand basin. The staircase leads to the first floor where there are two light, restful king size bedrooms and one lovely twin room as well as a contemporary bathroom with over bath shower, WC and washbasin. Outside there is a sunny patio area, a great spot for al fresco dining and across the track from the property a lovely grassy paddock, ideal for family games. Beyond the courtyard, idyllic Coniston Water will tempt you through the grounds and down to the estate s private lake shore area which is shared with other properties on the estate this is the place for picnics, paddling and fishing for tiddlers. If you want to bring your own sailing boat, there are also jetties for you to tie up to. Perfect!.
