Boat trips can be taken from West Bay to Lyme Regis, as well as fishing trips for fishing enthusiasts. Why not leave the car behind and take a half hour walk along the river passed Palmers Brewery and into the popular market town of Bridport, which is just a couple of miles away. The pretty town offers plenty of great places to eat and drink, as well as markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and a thriving selection of boutiques selling antiques and vintage curios, should you wish to seek out some treasures. There are several glorious beaches nearby including Eype, Seatown, Charmouth, Hive Beach and Chesil Beach. Part of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, the coast is perfect for family holidays, fossil hunting, fishing and diving. Heading inland there are many places of interest including Forde Abbey, the Kingston Russell Stone Circle, Eggardon Hill, Lewesdon Hill and Lambert s and Coney s Castle. On entering this bright and attractive property you can leave coats, boots and beach gear in the hall before heading up the first floor apartment. Here you will find the welcoming and cosy lounge/diner which is a lovely space to unwind in at the end of a great day.
