Explore the local area; the picture postcard village of Castleton with its famed Blue John caverns, Norman Keep and other attractions is nearby. This village boasts six country pubs and several cafes, as well as jewellery and gift shops. Close by is Hathersage, with its Bronte connections, striking moorlands and gritstone ridgelines. Also, the three Derwent reservoirs including Ladybower and its connections with the WWII Dambusters preparations. And, of course the beautiful Chatsworth House estate and the historic village of Eyam. Unusually for the Peak District Hope benefits from its own railway station on the scenic Sheffield to Manchester line.
