TV/DVD with Freesat. Live in housekeeper/caretaker are on site and live in a self contained apartment within the main house. Large private garden (not enclosed) with small patio area. Ample private parking on the driveway. Please note all dogs must be kept on a lead. Outside catering, shooting and fishing can be arranged directly with caretaker. Shops and pub 3 miles. Further afield is the picturesque village of Pitlochry with its festival theatre and fish dam, and the city of Perth which is the home of Scone Palace and plenty of other castles worth exploring. Leave your muddy boots in the cloakroom and step inside to discover a marvellous grand entrance hall with a roaring open fire and comfortable seating. The live in housekeeper and caretaker will greet you upon arrival and ensure your group are given a friendly welcome. Once used to entertain hunting parties, the house boasts a fabulous drawing room, billiards room and a formal dining room with enough seating for twenty people. In a nod to its hunting history, there are a number of mounted deer heads that adorn some walls throughout this country mansion. Keen chefs will delight in the well equipped kitchen with AGA, dishwashers, electric oven and hob, fridge/freezers and microwave. The kitchen is bright and contains a large wooden table, making it the perfect spot for grabbing a quick bite to eat before you set off on your day of exploring. The breakfast room is a peaceful place to perch with your morning coffee and seats up to twenty guests. The cosy TV room offers a quiet retreat to watch a good film after a busy evening of entertaining. Climb the sweeping staircase to find all of the bedrooms some of which have been recently refurbished, each one traditionally furnished and brimming with period charm. There is one king size bedroom with an en suite bathroom, with bath, separate shower and WC, three doubles with en suite shower room and WC, one double bedroom, four twin bedrooms and one family room with one double bed and one single bed. The layout is ideal for groups with children, with the family room sleeping three and the master bedroom leading through to a twin bedroom. Beautiful antique furniture and silk wallpaper feature in most of the bedrooms, where original features have been retained or replicated wherever possible. All of the bathrooms have been refurbished to a modern standard and have been sympathetically renovated in keeping with the Victorian décor of the property. Outside, the large private garden is the perfect place for an adventure with rolling hills and trees as far as the eye can see. Deer are often spotted within the grounds of the house, and the surrounding woodland makes it a peaceful retreat that everyone will love. The large drive that sweeps up to the house has ample parking, and there's even a dainty patio area that leads out from the drawing room where you can relax with a dram of whisky as you admire the countryside view..
