Dorchester, the county town, is 5 miles away and offers a good selection of independent shops and restaurants, countless museums and entertainment. The local village store is just around the corner, as is the dog friendly pub. Recently renovated, Well Cottage retains its historic charm and has been furnished to ensure comfort is key. The country kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, washer/dryer and dishwasher and underfloor heating in the winter. The characterful dining room leads on from here and is the ideal spot to enjoy relaxed meals whilst admiring the original 18ft well from the viewing panel set into the floor. The light and airy lounge is ideal for snuggling up on either of the two sofas in front of the wood burning effect fire watching a film from the DVD library or Netflix. Upstairs to the landing, three steps lead to the large master bedroom, which has a king size Provençale style grand bed. The room is so large it also has a sofa bed (an ideal bed for two small children or one adult) sit here to watch the small TV or enjoy the beautiful views of the church opposite. Alternatively, choose the pretty cosy double bedroom to the rear of the property. The bedrooms share the bathroom, which is accessed via two steps from the landing and has a shower over bath and WC. All of the rooms in the property have Bluetooth music systems. Back downstairs, from the inner hallway, a stable door leads to the paved and secluded walled garden. Sit here for your morning coffee or evening drinks. Large gates open to the back lane making the courtyard ideal for cyclists to leave their bikes or muddy walking boots.
