If you have time, there are many National Trust houses and gardens. Ludlow and the surrounding south Shropshire countryside is an ideal cycling area. Often referred to as mini Switzerland , the beautiful hilly countryside includes the Shropshire Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has many quiet country lanes, forest areas and planned routes to suit cyclists of all abilities. There are numerous local events throughout the year including food, music and crafts. This is also an area well known for its excellent restaurants and pubs, many serving locally sourced produce. A visit to the Ludlow Farm shop is a must. Some of the most stunning golf courses in the country are nearby, namely Church Stretton and Kington. The cottage itself is built of traditional red brick and stone and sits within its own, enclosed garden. Downstairs there is a delightfully furnished sitting room with comfortable sofas around a wood burning stove the perfect place for relaxing or watching TV. If you need to do some work during your stay there is a self contained desk area. The large, attractive kitchen has a dining area with a farmhouse table for six. The kitchen is modern and well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. There is also a utility room with a washing machine, dryer and a useful rear lobby, great for muddy boots and coats. Upstairs, three bedrooms lead off a spacious landing: a king size bedroom with an en suite shower, bath and WC, a bedroom with a king size bed and a further twin room. There is also a family bathroom with a handheld shower over bath and WC. The enclosed garden offers a dedicated seating area and charcoal BBQ, along with an enclosed lawn that s perfect for garden games and dogs.
