Stroll less than 0.25 miles to the station to catch a train on the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, taking you 7 miles through spectacular scenery to Ravenglass on the coast. Visit Muncaster Castle and walk on the beach while you are here. Climb Scafell Pike, England s highest peak, 4 miles from the cottage, and head to Ambleside, 15 miles away, to shop and dine out.
