Accommodation Details
3 bedrooms 1 double, 1 twin and 1 bunk bed. 1 bathroom with a shower over the bath. Oven, dishwasher, four ring hob, fridge. Electric and electric heating on a 1 coin operated meter. Woodburner. Freeview Sky TV. Wi Fi included. Towels not provided. The grounds are shared with three other properties and include a playground with swings, slide and see saw; a pond with rafts; and an orchard with a stream. Please note that there is an unfenced pond close to the lodge, children must be kept under strict supervision. 3 dogs welcome. Allocated parking at the front of the lodge for 2 cars. On site laundry with washing machine, tumble drier, ironing board, freezer, payphone. Shared games room with pool and table tennis. Nearest pub 500m.

Alternatively, you can explore the valley floor by following the River Esk through the woods. Neighbouring Wasdale also boasts plenty of beautiful scenery, panoramic views, and amazing wildlife. This area is packed with history in the form of Roman forts and ruins, and Muncaster Castle is a great day out for everyone. The Ravenglass and Eskdale Steam Railway is only a couple of fields away, offering a thrilling ride through the countryside that the kids will love. On approaching this lodge, you ll appreciate the abundance of outside space, where you can watch birds of prey flying overhead and herons fishing in the stream. From the veranda, you step into the multi aspect, open plan lounge/kitchen/diner, which is light and airy considering the wooden construction. The lounge has comfy sofas and warming woodburner, making this a lovely space to sit and relax during those chilly evenings. There is seating for six around the dining table, whilst the compact kitchen has all the essentials for self catering including a dishwasher. If you have muddy gear that needs washing, there is an on site laundry. Down the hall, you ll find the three cosy bedrooms: a double room, a twin room and a bunk room. All of them are simple yet comfortable and afford views of the beautiful surroundings. Completing the accommodation is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. Outside, there is plenty of shared space to enjoy, including an orchard, a pond with rafts, and a play area. There is also a games room on site, with a pool table and table tennis. Directly outside the property is a picnic bench so that you can enjoy al fresco dining against the backdrop of the Cumbrian countryside..
